The Lord Himself told us “It is more blessed to give than to receive” (Acts 20:35). We know by these words and by our experiences that this is true. Yet, I do not believe this means we must do our best not be the recipient of any gifts, favors, or good deeds.
We should not allow our pride to disguise itself as a sort of false humility and thereby obstruct the love and humility of one who is giving. We should instead, receive such things with humility, thank the giver, give thanks to God, and be on the lookout for our next opportunity to give.
That’s all I’ve got for you today.
Have a great Sunday. I’ll be back in your inboxes on Thursday.
Peace and Blessings!
